Before Laura became part of the Bridges team, her career was deeply rooted in education, where she spent many years as a Special Education Teacher. This role allowed her to not only teach but to learn from an incredible group of students with diverse abilities, shaping her approach to education and inclusion.  

Additionally, during her college experience, she actively participated in various clubs that facilitated connections between adults with different abilities from the local community and college students. Together, they organized events, celebrated holidays, and created meaningful community gatherings. These experiences have been instrumental in shaping Laura’s approach to support and advocacy, leading her to join Bridges in 2023, where she continues to apply and expand upon these principles.
