Jean’s path into the services of intellectual and developmental disabilities started in 2006 with the birth of her younger son, who was diagnosed with Down Syndrome. Since then, creating a supportive community and gathering a network of resources for him and our family has been paramount. This personal commitment naturally led Jean to the role of Support Coordinator, where she’s found a fulfilling way to extend the support and understanding she cultivated at home to others navigating similar journeys. This position has not only allowed Jean to leverage her personal experiences for the benefit of others but has also been an ideal match for her dedication to advocacy and support within the disability community.
